기조연설 2: Title: Be Plastic Clever!

Amy and Ella Meek (17 and 15 years old) founded their campaign and charity, Kids Against Plastic, in 2016 after learning about the UN's Global Goals For Sustainable Development and in particular the recurring issue of plastic pollution. Their mission to make a difference started out as a project and has become an award-winning charity, that has encouraged over 186 schools and over 50 businesses, councils, cafes and even the Houses of Parliament, to become Plastic Clever, and seen over 90,000 pieces of plastic picked up.
The sisters first discovered for themselves the devastating impact that plastic is having on the environment. They have appeared in various online and print media in the UK and around the world including The Telegraph, Greenpeace, Wildlife Watch Magazine, and The Guardian. Particularly, the girls have given a TEDx talk and have spoken at industry conferences around Europe to challenge those with the corporate power to take urgent environmental action.
Their first book "Be Plastic Clever!" was published in 2020, and they communicate the complex situation of plastics in our society in simple language.
